Ch-ch-ch-chia
The other day I was at the store and wondering what are the best weight loss supplements? I’ve recently added chia seeds to my diet. Not sure if they are a weight loos supplement per se, but because they’re high in fiber and soak up water, I do find that when I eat a spoonful of chia before a meal I stay full longer. They also help with regularity and are a great source of omega acids. Since I don’t care much for fish, this is a great way for me to work them into my diet. My mom even bought a bag and has been having great results! I’ve also mixed them with my steel cut oats, soaked overnight, and the next morning my oatmeal was really creamy - it had a great texture. I just wish they weren’t so expensive. That’s my only complaint.

Yay!
I was at my SIL’s baby shower today and I am finally fitting into all of my pre-pregnancy clothes (except for the “skinny jeans” that I am still working towards.) Several people commented that I looked great for having my third baby just a couple months ago and that made me feel really good. Guess I don’t need to go out and buy diet pills
I do have to work on tightening everything up now that the weight is coming off. I really need to focus on exercise now that I’m doing well maintaining a healthy diet. The compliments were a great motivator, though. That’s for sure.

Game Time
My brother still is not sure what to do with his finished basement. He wants to put a pool table down there, but since he is a brewer, I thought he should look into ping pong tables. Beer pong! LOL! He was not so into that idea, but I thought it was funny. I think he’s doing a home theatre area too. I am sure whatever he does will look nice. We have an air hockey table in our basement and that’s fun. I know Drew wants to work on finishing the basement over the winter.

New Faucet
I hate our bathroom facuets. They’re not attractive and I’m thinking of researching new ones. I always like Kohler faucets and I know they are high quality, but there are other brands too. I just need to spend some time researching. I think I want to paint first, though and take it from there.

She’s Crafty
I was doing a search on this blog the other day to see what came up and I noticed that a few web site directories still have this categorized as a craft store. A few years ago I sold custom scrapbooks, cards, and diaper cakes as a hobby. Clearly you won’t be finding any of that here now. But I am considering opening up an Etsy storefront for some of my other homemade goods. I want to build up a bit of inventory first and then we’ll see. I don’t expect much from it, but it would be a good way to get rid of my extra knitting projects, LOL!
